Instructional Technology Rules at Economics Conference
Yesterday, October 28, 2005, at the Midwest Conference on Student Learning in Economics there were lots of excellent presentations. Each of these will soon be on our proceedings page. The Technology Showcase was spectacular featuring technology displays from nine vendors. I was impressed with the technology only companies (as compared to the economic book publishers with their fabulous technology), that they not only took a chance on us and brought their wares to exhibit, but that each of them assured me that they found the conference worth their time and would likely be back next year. For that I thank them and promise you readers that we will continue to expand the offerings in order to build the Midwest Conference on Student Learning in Economics into the premiere economics conference offering a look and experience with instructional technology. Indeed, we hope to take the lead in all three aspects of the conference: Innovation, Assessment and Classroom Research. Join us next year... 106 people did this year!
